Removing the Unseen Obstacles/Barriers to Your Healing
Jehovah-Rapha (The LORD that Healeth Thee) physically (2 Kings 5:10), emotionally (Psalm 34:18), mentally (Daniel 4:34), and spiritually (Psalm 103:2–3).
So whether you are seeking: physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, or even financial healing, the Barriers on God’s side have been removed in Jesus on the cross. Healing was in the Atonement – By Stripes You were Healed
However, we FIND Barriers Remain in the hearts and minds of people that are obstacles to their receiving their healing
• IF WE: Uncover these blocks, pray, and address them, people can receive their healing. We are going to this!
• Will Work systematically through barriers to “REMOVE THE BARRIERS” before we minister to you today
• REMOVE THE BARRIER - THEN PROCEED
NOW - Some people will not receive healing, while others do…I cannot explain this!

• (Paul) - God values something in me greater than my physical comfort and health that he knows can only be attained by means of my physical affliction and the lessons of submission, dependency, and trust in God that I learn from it
• Deut 29:29, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God,
• but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever” - NKJV
Many possible blocks to healing, but I want to focus on 9 common road blocks
Barriers to Healing
1. Ignorance to Gods Word and Will:
• Isa 5:13, Therefore my people will go into captivity (exile) for lack of (knowledge) or understanding - NKJV
• Hos 4:6, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
• Past teachings – personal ignorance,
• We have NOT sought God, nor studied his word – THIS IS BARRIER
PRAYER: Father, we acknowledge we are ignorant of your word and will by our own fault. We confess our sin and repent, help me be more diligent
2. Unbelief:
• We EXCUSE OUR UNBELIEF, but NT calls it a sin.
• Heb 3:12-14, See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. NIV
• Evil, unbelieving heart and sins deceitfulness - evil/sin.
• Matt 13:58, He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith (unbelief). - NIV
Unbelief may be from past teaching, from unresolved sin in our lives, or even from times of disappointment when trying to believe God for our healing in the past.
PRAYER: Ask forgiveness for unbelief. Proclaim your faith in God, Jesus, HS and word of God.
3. Don’t want to be healed – OR HAVE NOT ASKED
• like the sympathy and their story more than wanting a changed life.
• John 5:5-6, When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” - NKJV
• James 4:2, Yet you do not have because you do not ask. – NKJV
4. Unconfessed Sin
• Prov 28:13, He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. NIV-
• 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness - NKJV –
You never shock God with your repentance, God Blots out our sin. Forgives and Cleanses.
PRAYER: Ask for forgiveness. Prayer: God because you have forgiven me, I forgive myself
5. Unforgiveness
• Mark 11:25, when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.“- NIV… - Decision of the will, not an emotion.
• Tearing up the IOUs. - IOUs - love, support, care, covering…these are legal.
• You can hold them, but remember God has IOUs from you in Heaven..
o You tear up your IOUs and I will tear up my IOUs. IOUs from husbands, parents, people, leaders.
o Take a few moments for the HS to show you if any root of Bitterness in you, unforgiveness, IOUs o Make a decision, tear up the IOUs. Honor the role of parents, leaders, ect. Let God be judge.
Prayer: Anyone who has harmed me or wronged me. Lord I forgive them as I long for you to forgive me. Set me free.
6. Occult / Demonic Activities
• Involved or having been involved with horoscopes, fortune teller, psychics, Ouija boards, witchcraft
• Contemporary music - satanic. demonic power in the music.
• Drugs, perversion, vows, ect. must be broken.
• Demonic symbols/emblems - Ornaments and idols from travel or trinkets.
• Renounce every contact with demonic realm
Ex 23:24 - You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars.
25 “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. 26 No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit – show me doorways from the demonic realm. Prayer: Lord if I have ever been involved in the occult even ignorantly, whatever it was, I renounce it, I confess and it and repent. Forgive me, set me free. Never again will I be involved. Release me from their influence
7. Occults/False Religions: (Free Mason, Jehovah Witness, Mormon)
• you are under a curse
• Ex 23:32, You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. – NKJV
Prayer – Lord Jesus Christ if there is in my family the curse of free masonry or any other occult in my family to release me and save me. Break its power over me.
8. Effects of a Generational Curse - Renounce the generational curse
• history mental or emotional breakdown
• repeated or chronic sicknesses,
• repeated miscarriages or female problems,
• breakdown of marriage and family alienation in fighting)
• continuing financial insufficiency, consistently accident prone,
• history of suicide or unnatural deaths.
• Failure manifest right at the verge of success and breakthrough.
Prayer – thank you Jesus, on the cross you were made a curse for me and I can be released from the curse and enter into the blessing, I release myself from every curse over me and my family and I claim the blessing purchased for me.
9. DEMONIC Oppression
The Supernatural Power of God in healing often confronts demons and drives them out.
• Luke 4:40-41, As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus.
No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one. 41 Many were possessed by demons; and the demons came out at his command
• Matt 17:15-18, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water…Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. – NKJV
There are two main ways Demon Powers are Associated with sickness
1. Direct Causes of Sickness: Spirits of Infirmity, Pain, Crippling and Death (4 common ways they manifest) – spinal deformity (crippling), woman bent over by spirit of infirmity (Jesus)
2. Spirit of Death:
• Pushes people to die premature (often have a morbid outlook on life, the negative view).
• When you say I might as well be dead, I wish I were dead…. Opens a door to demonic influence.
• (Ps 118: 17) – I Shall not Die, but LIVE and declare the works of the Lord. (Stand and Declare)
ALTAR Ministry to the Sick:
Many ways to minister to the sick, but we are going to follow (James 5, Mark 16)
• James 5:15-16, The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. – NKJV
• Mark 16:17-18, And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” – NKJV
• Does not say they will be instantly healed, says they will recover
• Sometimes healing is instant, sometimes progressive
• Stay plugged in to the power outlet,
• keep thanking him until the healing is completed. (Jan-April)…progressive work.
• If you say they laid hands on me and nothing happened, you will not receive anything, you have discounted
Gods word and power.
Your Response for Prayer: Not a counselling session, not a life story, not a medical record….one word…kidney infection, heart condition, back issues. I am looking to Jesus who told ministers to lay hands on the sick.
