GOSPEL OF JOHN – STUDY ACTIVITIES

  1. Treasury of Knowledge Study – Mondays  Select a verse or passage from the daily readings and utilize the TSK feature in
    Blue Letter Bible App.
     Read all of the cross-referenced verses.
     Select 1 or more of the cross-referenced verses and delve deeper by reading the associated passage or entire chapter for enhanced understanding and context.
  2. Meditation Exercise – Tuesdays/Thursdays/Sundays  Psalm 19:14, Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
     Pray – ask the Holy Spirit to assist you in knowing/understanding His Word
     Read – read aloud a verse or short passage from the daily readings.
     Listen – identify any meaningful word, phrase, or intent that the Holy Spirit impresses upon your mind or speaks to you.
     Pray – talk to God specifically, pray out of the context of the verse or passage
     Reflect/Rest – Rest in God’s presence & the truth of His Word at work in you
  3. Chat Your Insights - Wednesdays  Using the chat feature in the Word Explosion Group, share pertinent insights or understanding that you have gleaned from any of the readings or study activities each week.
     Read other’s shared insights; feel free to reply.
  4. Commentary Study – Fridays  Commentaries are extended discussions presented by scholars and theologians.
     Select a verse or passage from any of the daily readings and utilize the “Text
    Commentary” or “Audio / Video” feature to access associated commentary material.
  5. Verse of the Day or Asks Questions – Any day  Use the chat string for Questions to post any pertinent questions in the Word
    Explosion group.
